Arrival & Check-in
Check-in will be open at 6.00pm on Friday. Please arrive as early as possible to allow time for parking, collecting your conference pack and finding a seat. (If you are only attending on Saturday – Check-in will be open from 8am.)
When you arrive, our registration desk is just adjacent to the Riverside Theatre on level 2 of the Perth Convention Centre.
When you check in you will receive your wristband. You will need to keep your wristband on to gain access to the sessions. It has an adjustable toggle so it can be re-worn.
If you have registered your kids for conference, you can check them in with you! No need to go to multiple check-in points, simply visit our Family Check In station and you will be given your family conference pack containing your wristbands, kids lanyards, name badges and your parent ID cards. Place the lanyard or name badge on your child and our kids team will be able to scan them in and out of the program throughout conference.
Kids Stream will be running the entire conference in meeting rooms 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and Riverview Room 5. Please adhere to check-in times on the schedule.
For safety and security purposes parents will be given a Parent ID tag which is a direct replica of your child’s lanyard/badge. Please keep this with you and present it when checking out your children.
All children will need to be checked out of Nations Kids for lunch on Saturday. Your children will need to be re-checked into Nations Kids at 1.45pm on Saturday.
Snacks for your child
A morning tea snack will be served to kids in within the Kids Conference program.
In the final session of Conference, we will also be feeding your child before we finish for the night.
This year we have the great privilege of introducing our Dream room to parents of our younger children. This room will be used solely for children who require a nap and rest time during sessions throughout the day. Available in the room will be foam mats, and extra space if you would like to set up your own porta cot for your child. If you would like to utilise the foam mat for your child please remember to bring your own bedding.
Parents will be required to bring their own child from the Sprouts or Rockets program and settle them for a nap in the Dream room. There will always be 2 volunteers present from the Sprouts/Parents Room Team who will monitor the children while they nap. Once a child is awake, parents will be notified through text, and the child will be brought back to the Sprouts (or Rockets) room for the remainder of the program.
This room is available to all children who may require a nap during the day, and hope it will be a support to parents during conference sessions.
*Parents of babies under 1 are more than welcome to utilise this room as well. However, babies will need to be settled prior as to not disturb any children already napping in the room. You are welcome to stay in the room while your baby sleeps, alternatively our volunteers will text you immediately once they wake-up – it is then the responsibility for the parent to return to collect their baby and use the Parent room thereafter.
Also available in the room will be 2 iPads with a live stream to the session in the main auditorium (please bring your own headphones).
Nappy change, play zone and private feeding facilities are available in the dedicated Parents Room for parents with children aged 0-12months. This is located in meeting room 9 directly opposite from the theatre doors. A live feed will be available so you don’t miss a moment of conference. Additionally it is located adjacent to the Sprouts room (ages 1-2) and the Dream Room for easy access for attending to children . Please talk to an usher or a volunteer if you require assistance or directions.
The Youth Stream will be held in meeting room 1 & 2.
The Youth Stream will be running on Saturday only. During all night sessions, the youth will combine with adults in the Riverside Theatre.
Youth Stream delegates will be having lunch with their Connect and will be given opportunity to purchase lunch in the city.
We have a dedicated comfortable zone in the conference foyer for our senior delegates, where you can sit and eat lunch or relax between sessions. This is located on the south side of the Riverside foyer near the windows.
Food & Drink
Complimentary water is available for the duration of conference in the foyer but we recommend bringing a water bottle with you.
A barista coffee cart will be available in the foyer from 8am on Saturday – through all breaks for your hot drink purchases.
Kids will be provided with snacks within the Kids Stream program. Please see information above on Kids Stream for more information.
Adult delegates – you are welcome to bring a snack in your bag if you’re feeling peckish.
There are a number of different areas in and around the CBD which offer a number of food options. We have highlighted some key zones below. Youth Stream delegates will be having lunch with their Connect and will be given opportunity to purchase lunch in the city.
